I've always loved to write. I went to college for my bachelor's degree in journalism and wrote for my school newspapers. But, truth be told, I thought I wasn’t good enough to be a writer or that it wasn’t a “practical” career path.
For about a decade, I became reactive in my career and felt very stuck. I worked for the man in IT project management. I dabbled in getting my paralegal certificate and tried my hand at web design. Sadly, these weren't the missing puzzle pieces.
Flash forward to a few years later, many toxic workplaces, bad bosses, and misaligned jobs, and I became obsessed with my natural gifts and talents and how I could apply them to work. Through all this trial and error, I grew more and more knowledgeable about the world of personal and professional development and even became a Certified Professional Coach (CPC).
Part of what I learned in that time? You guessed it. Resumes. LinkedIn profiles. Interviewing. Salary negotiation. Job searching strategies. I took countless workshops and self-guided courses on all things job search.
Along the way, I have worked with many coaches on things like mindset, confidence, relationships, and of course, careers. I've worked with 5 career coaches over a 10-year span including Ashley Stahl and Erin Lewber.
The road so far...writing 30+ resumes for mid-level and executive professionals for 18 different industries ranging from sales to supply chain to IT to entrepreneurs.
Outside of work, I love all things food; especially coffee. I enjoy going to concerts, singing karaoke, spending time with my cats Luna and Tiger, and all things pampering.
